This site is the official ELAVI Music and Media store. ELAVI is the popular musician originating from Old Trafford, a small borough of Manchester famous for its football and musical legacy and infamous for its association with gun and gang violence. It is out of this landscape that ELAVI has crafted a unique genre pushing musical style. Using a ever changing mixture of spoken word, rap, funk, soul, pop, electronica, rock, hip hop and jazz he delivers an original and experimental soul to the heart of music.

Widely praised for his originality and artistic content ELAVI takes his inspiration not only from a rich musical heritage he also delves deeply into other art forms such as film and what he calls visual paintings, all of which will be future features of this site.

Music, in particular hip hop, has become a phenomena largely controlled by corporations taking the soul out of the music. Fiercely eclectic, ELAVI goes against the grain of commercialized musical forms and is still able to create a relevant sound in an age when music has become uniform and predictable.

Like his controversial film Revelation X, which tackled notions of race and sex, his music speaks to us in a natural but sometimes challenging way.

Soul Science is the 16 track album released off the back of the underground hit Free Ur Mind and is a creative milestone in terms of both music and hip hop. Written, produced recorded and performed entirely by ELAVI the album is reminiscent of concept albums of a bygone era yet futuristic in production and relentlessly human in its focus on truth and musical redemption.
